Aramid Laminates for Advanced Electrical Insulation
Different electrical systems place very different demands on insulation materials. 3A Associates offers a range of aramid laminates designed to meet these requirements across rotating machines, transformers, and advanced EV power electronics.
The range combines an aramid fibre base with carefully selected films and adhesive systems. Aramid-Polyester-Aramid provides a practical solution for Class F/H motor and generator insulation, while Aramid-Polyimide-Aramid delivers higher thermal performance for more demanding electrical systems.
For EV applications, 3A EV Laminates are designed specifically for laminated busbars and stacked busbar capacitors. Their high dielectric strength and tracking resistance help enable compact busbar assemblies while supporting electrical reliability under vibration and repeated thermal cycling.
Together, the three variants provide engineers with a flexible insulation family spanning conventional motor applications through to next-generation electric mobility systems.

THREE LAMINATE VARIANTS
Aramid–Polyester–Aramid
A symmetrical Class F/H laminate designed for motor and generator insulation. Its balanced construction improves handling during automated winding and provides a cost-effective choice for standard-duty applications.
Aramid–Polyimide–Aramid
A high-temperature laminate rated for Class 180°C/200°C applications. Designed for demanding motors, generators, and transformers where additional thermal performance and reliability margin are required.
EV Aramid Laminates
A pressure-sensitive aramid insulation laminate developed for stacked busbar capacitors and laminated busbar assemblies. It combines high dielectric strength with high CTI performance for demanding EV power electronics.
